Are We a Fit?

Let's Talk About the Four Pillars of a Healing Relationship

I'm glad you're considering working with me. Before we start, let's have a quick heart-to-heart about what makes our potential partnership work.

I believe that working with an Ayurvedic practitioner is kind of like finding a good dance partner. It's a relationship that grows over time, and it's important that we're in step with each other from the get-go.

The Ashtanga Hrdayam, one of the great ancient texts of Ayurveda, outlines four pillars of healing. These pillars form the foundation of a successful healing relationship.

The author, Vagbhata, identified principles that are still profoundly relevant today. I promise to make it digestible (pun intended, because, you know, Ayurveda and digestion... okay, I'll stop).

The above Sanskrit verse describes the four essential elements or pillars of healing. Let's break it down into language we can all understand.

So, what are these four pillars?

  1. The Doctor / Practitioner: An experienced and compassionate practitioner who brings expertise, qualifications, and a deep understanding of Ayurvedic principles who listens and communicates well the needs of the Seeker.

  2. The Herbs & Therapies: Effective remedies and practices that are accessible, adaptable, and tailored to your unique needs and constitution.

  3. The Support System: A nurturing network of individuals who offer intelligent, empathetic support and clear communication throughout your healing process.

  4. You, the Seeker: Your own commitment, financial readiness, trust in the process, and courage to embrace positive change are vital to work with a practitioner.

Each of these pillars are interdependent and equally crucial. Your active participation, combined with expert guidance, effective tools, and a supportive environment, creates a powerful synergy for healing and growth.

If you work with me or anyone else, please take these 4 pillars into consideration before embarking on any type of coaching, practitioner or physician relationship.

You are at the center of this healing process. My role is to empower you with knowledge, practical application, listen without judgment, and guide you towards your optimal well-being.

Now that we've covered the basics, here are some specifics to see if we are a fit:

We might be a good fit if…

  • You are done with the "quick-fix" mentality and don’t want to rely solely on hormone replacement therapy to manage menopause symptoms.
You’re seeking a holistic, sustainable approach rooted in Ayurveda that respects your body’s natural rhythms and empowers you to manage symptoms with grace.

  • Feel frustrated by the medical system’s focus on symptom suppression and crave a more comprehensive, holistic way to thrive during menopause.
You understand the importance of addressing the root causes of your symptoms, paving the way for deeper healing and lasting relief—because you deserve more than just a band-aid solution.

  • Believe menopause is natural rather than a medical condition to "fix," and it deserves respect and thoughtful support.
You’re ready to embrace this vital phase of life, honoring your body’s wisdom and navigating the transition with confidence.

  • Are tired of one-size-fits-all health solutions that don’t consider your unique experiences and needs.
You know there’s a personalized path for you, one that honors your body, mind, and spirit, ensuring real and lasting solutions tailored to your life.

  • Reject the notion that aging automatically equals decline and refuse to settle for feeling "less than" in your second half of life.
You’re focused on rejuvenation and vitality, seeking ways to feel energized, vibrant, and empowered as you embrace your wisdom years.

  • Are no longer willing to be sidelined or told to "just deal with it" when it comes to the disruptive symptoms of menopause.
You want actionable steps and practical solutions that allow you to take charge of your health, empowering you to thrive rather than merely cope with symptoms.

We’d Work Together Even Better If…

  • You value Ayurveda as a comprehensive system that not only addresses symptoms but also nurtures the mind, body, and spirit, recognizing its holistic approach to health and well-being.

  • You believe in personalized healing and appreciate that Ayurveda tailors solutions based on individual constitution (dosha), lifestyle, and current life stage, fostering a deeper connection to your unique self.

  • You understand that health is a dynamic journey, not a static destination, and are open to evolving your practices as you navigate the changes of menopause and beyond with the wisdom of Ayurvedic principles.

  • You recognize that discipline and consistent practice are essential for integrating Ayurvedic principles into your life, and you are committed to nurturing these habits to support your well-being.

  • You’re looking to infuse a bit of woo into your daily practice, appreciating the magic and mystery that Ayurveda brings to your health journey.
